A weekend of walks centred on the “Walkers are Welcome” Eden Valley historic market town of Kirkby Stephen. Highlights of this Sunday event include an ascent to the Nine Standards, the summit of Hartley Fell, and a walk through the Smardale Nature Reserve. Smardale, one of the regions “hidden gems” has wonderful displays of orchids; birds-eye primrose; rare flora; birds, and butterflies.
